Hello

I work with adults who are striving to improve their quality of life and regain control in the midst of chaos. I work with trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and life transitions.  I work with my clients using an integrated approach in order to empower them to reach their full potential.

I am trained in Cognitive Therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Pain, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also trained in Trauma Therapies such as Trauma Informed Yoga and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.

  • Does it feel impossible to engage in routine activities?

  • Do you find yourself isolating from others?

  • Is chronic illness impacting your or your loved one’s daily life?

  • Have you been struggling with sleep at night?

  • Are you going through a challenging life transition such as a loved one’s death, divorce, childbirth, or retirement?

Meet The Therapist

I have a deep passion for educating and empowering individuals to increase their distress tolerance and improve their quality of life.  I have worked in a variety of settings and with diverse populations. I began working with children at the Melmed Center, Claremont Autism Center, a private girls’ high school, and in community mental health. I have worked with adults in behavioral health group homes, skilled nursing facilities, and in private practice.  For the last seven years I have concurrently worked in the Mayo Clinic Transplant Center with living kidney donors and educating recipients. As a farmer's daughter, I was fortunate to learn the value of finding peace in life's simple treasures at a young age.  As the daughter of a kidney transplant recipient, I also learned to appreciate the sacrifice of caregivers, how illness impacts a family system, and the importance of psychoeducation to create a positive healing environment.  I use an integrated approach incorporating Mindfulness, Trauma Informed, and Cognitive modalities.

Sessions will take place using a common HIPAA compliant virtual platform. You may access this using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.  Without having to drive somewhere and interrupt your day, you are able to engage in confidential therapy services.
During the first few sessions we will spend time focusing on your history and your concerns that have lead to make this first step to begin therapy. We will explore your strengths and challenges. The components of therapy will be explained from the consent forms to the action steps of therapy. We will establish goals and action steps to work towards those goals. The following sessions will be structured around empowering you to reach these goals.
